Covid-19 kills 253 in Ashanti region

Two hundred and fifty-three people have so far died from the coronavirus pandemic in the Ashanti region. The region has recorded a total number of 15,568 cases since the outbreak while 15,280 have recovered. Addressing the media today, Monday, 17 May 2021, Regional Director for Health Services, Dr Emmanuel Tenkrong said active cases for the region now stand at 35 while new cases recorded last week are 26.
