GhMediaHubLawyer Maurice Ampaw has said that the posture of Bishop Agyinasare, the Christian Council and the Pentecostal Council has made Islam a very attractive religion in Ghana.
According to him, Agyinasare’s attack on politicians is uncalled for and sways off the path of the mandate and calling of God.
To him, there is the need for Pastors to support the President and the good works he is doing rather than unleash attacks on him at this moment.

To him, there is the need for Pastors to support the President and the good works he is doing rather than unleash attacks on him at this moment.
Maurice Ampaw was speaking on Kumasi-based Wontumi FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com when he made these remarks.
He said “Agyinasare and let me talk to Christian Council and also the Pentecostal council that they should be very careful because you see, I am somebody who in these times, the way the country is going and the work Nana Addo is doing it speaks to one thing. It doesn’t call for you now dealing with Politicians.”
“You have left your core mandate. The Agyinasare that I Know, I know him from his childhood. When he started it was about evangelism and healing, that’s the call, that’s the call, evangelism and healing was your call. Now how come that all of a sudden you think you can deal with Politicians. Do you know who Politicians are? So when you attack them and they also attack you, then you say they are speaking against what? Listen to me, the Christian community stay focused.”
“These days you’ve made Islamic religion more attractive. They are more united; they are more respectful. Look at Chief Imam and the way he’s relating to the current government. Have you seen Chief Imam talking by heart? No. They speak to unity, they speak to the issues but now the Christian Community some of the Pastors have decided that they are messiahs and then you come and deal with the Politicians when you know clearly that the country is being governed very well. Even reliefs the President has given during this COVID-19 period, you Agyinasare you’ve not been able to give same to your Church members.”
He noted that Politicians have done a lot and there is the need to acknowledge them for what they do rather than condemning them for their shortfalls because they have brought relief to the country and a number of citizens.
Maurice Ampaw noted that it’s time they go back to their first love adding that Agyinasare’s current outburst is a clear indication that the healing power he had is no more there.
