My Presidential ambition is a calling from God – Kofi Akpaloo claims

Flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) Mr. Kofi Akpaloo has revealed that, his ambition to become the President of the Republic of Ghana is a call from God and not by his might or will.

“God called me that it’s my time and that I am going to be president of this country. It is God who is talking”. Mr. Kofi Akpaloo revealed this in an interview with Orange FM in Kumasi in an interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com.

“They’ve seen NPP government has done their best; they’ve done very well”, he admitted.

When asked if God wants him to change a proper government as he described the NPP he said “you have to ask God why he wants me to be president. He did not tell me I should come and attack the government”.

Mr. Akpaloo and his LPG party in their manifesto dubbed “A Better Tomorrow” spelt out 20 core objectives of revamping Ghana’s economy by focusing on unemployment, entrepreneurship, women empowerment, education, infrastructure, sports, tourism and agriculture.

According to the LPG, Ghana’s natural resources, like bauxite, gold, timber, and coffee, cocoa were enough to change the fortunes of the country.

Some key policies of the LPG were that its government is going to pay each unemployed Ghanaian a monthly allowance of GHC 300.

The LPG has also promised to pay workers who would lose jobs during crisis their basic monthly salaries whilst those who would receive money below the minimum wage would be given GH₵200 addition to their monthly income.
