GhMediaHubThe UN refugee agency (UNHCR) has urged Ghana to stop expelling refugees from Burkina Faso.
It expressed worry over allegations that hundreds of Burkinabe nationals, primarily women and children, had been deported from Ghana after running away from domestic abuse.
The UNHCR declared that it was prepared to give Ghana extra assistance to meet the needs of refugees.
An Islamist insurgency spanning many nations in the Sahel area of Africa has driven more than two million people from their homes in Burkina Faso.
