GHMediaHubGhanaian actor Osuman Idrees, widely known as Yogot from the popular comedy series “Junka Town,” passed away on the morning of Tuesday, June 11. The cause of his death is currently unknown. His colleague, Judge Abeka, confirmed the news in an interview with Connect FM in Takoradi. Abeka mentioned that Yogot seemed strong and healthy, only reporting a minor ailment related to a boil on his body.
“He wasn’t seriously ill, it was a minor sickness. He had a normal boil and it wasn’t as if he had been sick for a long time,” Abeka explained.
Yogot is survived by his wife and two children. Highlife artiste Nero X also shared the news of Yogot’s passing on his Facebook handle, mourning the loss.
Yogot gained fame through his role in “Junka Town,” a comedy series shot in Effiakuma, Takoradi, in the Western Region of Ghana. The series featured other talented actors like Too Much and Atemuda, and became a beloved part of Ghanaian entertainment.
