GhMediaHubPresident Akufo Addo has announced the extension of the ban on public gathering by two more weeks effective Monday 27th April, 2020 in the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Ghana.
According to the President, his decision follows a strong consensus that emerged from his engagement with key stakeholders including the Executive Council of the Ghana Medical Association, the Council of State, Leadership of both Christian and Muslim communities, the leadership of Trades Union Congress among others that the existing measures must be maintained for now until there’s a firm grip on the movement of the virus.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo, has urged Ghanaians who aid foreigners to enter the country through our borders and some unofficial routes to desist from such unpatriotic acts as they pose health threats to the entire nation.
