GhMediaHubOn April 19, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo commissioned the Kwabenya Police Barracks in Accra, which comprises 514 one and two-bedroom self-contained flats.
Out of these, 322 flats have been completed and are ready for occupation. The flats are equipped with modern facilities, making them comfortable homes for police officers and their families while also providing a conducive working environment.
The project also includes a school, a clinic, an astroturf football field, a tennis court, a standby generator, a police station, a fuel filling station, a workshop enclave, and other essential amenities.
President Akufo-Addo stated that the commissioning of this facility reflects the government’s commitment to providing decent housing and other essential amenities for security personnel.
He further added that the barracks will improve the welfare of police officers and enhance their capacity to serve the nation more effectively.
