Anticipation Builds as Guinness Ghana DJ Awards 2025 Nominees Go Public on October 15

Anticipation has hit a crescendo as the board of the 13th Guinness Ghana DJ Awards prepares to unveil the 2025 nominees on October 15. This year’s edition of Africa’s Biggest DJ Event is set to honor DJs whose creativity, passion, and innovation continue to shape and energize Ghana’s vibrant music culture.

This announcement marks a significant milestone on the entertainment calendar, ushering in what many are calling “the most competitive DJ season in years.”

For the 2025 edition, the Ghana DJ Awards received an impressive 12,000-plus entries from DJs and fans around the world — a testament to the event’s global appeal and prestige. The Academy, comprising seasoned DJs, musicians, and other creative industry professionals, also submitted nominations to recognize exceptional talents who may ultimately walk away with coveted plaques on November 29.

Beyond the highly anticipated International DJ of the Year category, which draws worldwide attention, Disc Jockeys from all 16 regions of Ghana will battle it out in 43 competitive categories. Additionally, two honorary awards will be presented, bringing the total to 47 awards for the night. Music lovers, however, have their eyes firmly set on the ultimate title — DJ of the Year — currently held by DJ Lord OTB, who has impressively claimed the crown two years in a row.

Kumasi is set to come alive on Saturday, November 1, as Pula’s Lounge hosts an electrifying night of performances from some of the region’s finest DJs — a fitting climax to the 2025 Pub Fest.

In the lead-up to the grand finale, the final DJ Clinic will take place on November 27 at the Alliance Française, perfectly setting the tone for the main event at the Palms Convention Center just two days later.

As the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards draws near, anticipation continues to build.
