GhMediaHubThomas Partey’s father, Jacob Partey has said that he will not encourage his son to accept offers from China, saying the Chinese Super League is meant for players heading towards retirement.
The midfield enforcer has become transfer target for several European clubs following his scintillating performance for Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the ongoing season.
Despite admitting he will advise his son on any day to accept offers which comes with mouthwatering packages, Jacob Partey said he will only allow him to move to China at the twilight of his career to make good money.
Speaking to Sylvester Ntim ‘Koke’ of Bryt FM, he emphasized that a move to China for his son will happen when he is about to call it a day but not now.
“Players moves to China purposely for their pension pay. Thomas may move to China when he is about to retire so he can also get his pension pay there and that is the certificate of football” he said.
He adds that, it is aim and only prayer that his son plays topnotch football before he retires from the game one day.
