Cristiano Ronaldo splashes out on new car for his mum on Mother’s Day

Cristiano Ronaldo spared no expense on Mother’s Day this year.

The footballer splashed out on a brand new car for his mum Dolores Aveiro for the special day in Portugal.

Dolores shared a picture of the Mercedes which she got from her children on Instagram.

Her caption read: ‘Thank you to my children for the gifts I received today. Happy Mother’s Day.’

In the picture she held a bunch of flowers and stood next to the black vehicle, which had a giant red bow around it. Ronaldo also marked the special day by paying tribute to Maria and the mother of his children Georgina Rodriguez.

Posting pictures of them both on Instagram Cristiano said: ‘Happy Mother’s Day to my two special women.’

Last month Dolores, 65, was rushed to hospital after suffering a stroke.

In good spirits, she joked that she was ‘complaining a lot about being left in bed for hours on end’ adding ‘I know it’s for my own good.’

At the time she shared that she is ‘recovering well’.

Cristiano had flown to Madeira by private jet with Georgina and eldest son Cristiano Jr.

The footballer is also dad to daughter Alana, who he shares with Georgina, and two-year-old twins Eva and Mateo.
