GhMediaHubThe Ghana Private Schools Association is pleading with parents to finish up paying for their wards Second term School fees in magnanimity if they’ve not paid,MyNewsGh.com reports.
This appeal was made on Accra-based Okay FM by Mr. Kyei Baffour who speaks for the Association.
He said before the government placed a ban on public gathering, schools were almost about to vacate for the Second Term so there is the need for parents to pay their fees to the various schools in order to cushion managers to be able to pay teachers some monies to keep their families together.
“Parents please come and pay your fees because you’ve started working. You people have been given the opportunity to work so you can make money to come an pay the fees of your children. Schools were almost vacating before the ban on public gathering so parents need to come and settle second term school fees so we can pay our teachers. These teachers have families and since they’ve not been paid since March, we don’t know how they are coping with this.” He revealed in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
On why the Private Schools decided to donate to the COVID-19 fund when they cannot pay their staff, Mr. Kyei Baffour said it was imperative that the Association donates to fast track the fight against COVID-19 so their schools can be opened.
“Donating to the COVID-19 fund was very good. Some of the schools donated GHC5, 10 and others. We donated to fast track the fight so that we can go back to school.”
