Flagbearer for the National Democratic Party Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings according to reports in the local media has withdrawn from the impending election.
Sources close to the Former First Lady say the Electoral Commission has been informed about her decision to opt out of the elections.
However, the reason for the decision according to sources close to her will be divulged during the Political Party’s Press Conference scheduled for today at 2pm at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
It’s not clear if the entire party is withdrawing from the election considering the fact that its flagbearer has informed the EC of its decision.
Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings is the wife of the late former President of Ghana Jerry John Rawlings who kicked the bucket on November 12 after a short illness.
