A 39-year-old farmer who sodomized a 13-year-old student in Class 6 at Gomoa Mankessim in the Central Region has been sentenced to 14 years in jail with hard labor.
According to evidence acquired by Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan, the suspect, Asiedu Eric, also known as Agya Yaw, sodomized the youngster on his coconut plantation.
The Suspect is said to have asked the victim to escort him to pluck coconut since the latter is good at doing that.
But when he got to the property, he threw the youngster down forcefully, took down his trousers, and sodomized him against a coconut tree.
Then he gave the victim a warning not to mention the incident to anybody. But the kid told his parents what had happened after becoming ill and being taken to the Gomoa Oguaa Health Clinic.
The Agona Swedru Police then detained Asiedu Eric. It was determined through testing that the victim had been sodomized.
The culprit was charged and sentenced to 14 years in jail before the Agona Swedru Circuit Court, which is overseen by His Lordship Jonathan Nunoo.
