MavisChris Hughton has announced the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Madagascar.
The match will take place at Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18, 2023, with kick-off at 17:00 GMT.
Returning to the squad are Alidu Seidu and Kwasi Okyere Wreidt, while Ernest Nuamah, who plays for Nordsjaelland in the Danish Superliga, receives his first call-up to the senior national team after an impressive performance.
The squad also sees the recall of Nicholas Opoku, who plays for Amiens, Patrick Kpozo based in Moldova, and Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru.
Ghana currently sits at the top of their group with 8 points from two wins and two draws in the first four matches. They only require a draw in this match to secure qualification for the tournament, which is scheduled to be hosted in Ivory Coast next year.
