GHMediaHubAustin Football Club Sporting Director Rodolfo Borrell says that Ghana winger Osman Bukari has the right characteristics that fit the profile of players the club looked to sign.
He said this in an interview during Bukari’s first media engagement after joining the club on a three and a half year deal from Serbia side Red Star Belgrade.
Bukari stated that Borrell started recruiting him to join Austin after the Black Stars player impressed in a derby win over Partizan Belgrade. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Borrell doubled down on this by stating that Bukari has the right characteristics and that led to his arrival at the club.
“Well it’s not only about one game obviously…It’s about looking at the characteristics we are looking for a player each one of the positions that we are trying to implement the way we want to play and he was one of the ones who fit in this profile. In the end we got it over the line and he is finally here.”
Bukari is the second Ghana international to join the MLS after fellow winger Joseph Paintsil moved from Belgian side KRC Genk to LA Galaxy.
