GHMediaHubGhana forward Antoine Semenyo has officially signed a five year contract extension with English Premier League (EPL) side AFC Bournemouth.
The deal comes on the back of an impressive campaign for the Ghanaian international as The Cherries ended the 2023-2024 season in 12th place.
After starting the immediate past season winless in nine games under new manager Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth recovered sharply to finish just a point short of a place in the top half of the 20 team league standings.
Playing in his first full season after transferring from Bristol City, Semenyo registered eight goals and two assists in 36 games in all competitions.
Semenyo was nominated for the EPL Player of the Month Award in March last season after bagging three goals in the period including scoring twice in Bournemouth’s remarkable 4-3 win over Luton Town after recovering from a 0-3 loss.
Since joining Bournemouth, Semenyo has been a consistent feature in Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars and competed at the 2023 AFCON in Cameroon.
