Kojo Asamoah featured in Africa Best XI for the decade by Top French Journalist

Top French journalist Patrick Juillard has featured Kojo Asamoah for his Africa Best XI of the past decade (2010-19) but list still remains controversial with interesting omissions.

The controversial list does omits the likes of Kolo Toure, strikers Samuel Eto’o Fils and Didier Drogba and Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan.

Juillard, who writes for Foot365 Afrique and also consults for Radio France International, picked midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah and assigned him to a left back role.

A lot of school of thoughts about Gyan’s omission raises eyebrows after his superb appearances across top competitions and became Africa’s all-time leading scorer in FIFA World Cup history with six goals.

Fenerbahce are keen on signing Inter defender Kwadwo Asamoah in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Football Ghana.

Juillard opted for latter day strikers Mohamed Salah, Riyad Mahrez, Sadio Mané and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

Africa Best XI:

Vincent Enyeama (Nigeria)- Ahmed Fathy (Egypt), Mehdi Benatia (Morocco), Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal), Kwadwo Asamoah (Ghana)-Yaya Touré (Cote d’Ivoire), Obi Mikel (Nigeria)-Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Riyad Mahrez (Algeria) Sadio Mané (Senegal)-Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang (Gabon).
