GHMediaHubFC Samartex 1996 Forward Emmanuel Mamah says the club won’t celebrate just yet despite recording an impressive win in its maiden game in the CAF Champions League.
Samartex registered a 1-0 win over Victoria United in Cameroon with Mamah scoring the game’s only goal to give Samartex a slim aggregate lead ahead of the second leg on August 25 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The reigning Ghana Premier League Champions returned to Ghana earlier today after the win and the Samreboi-based team is set to prepare for the second leg. Reacting to the win on Samartex’s Twitter (formerly X) page, Mamah stated,
“Football has always been filled with surprises and we all know the famous phrase that football is full of uncertainties. Therefore, we don’t to celebrate this achievement until we have advanced to the next stage of the competition.”
Samartex take on Dreams FC in its opening game of the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season on September 6 days after the second leg tie against Victoria United.
