Meet the young gospel artiste behind favorite Easter Single Yet To Blow Our Minds (+Audio)

Derrick Lawson is a young energetic new gospel talent discovered years ago but unveiling 2020. He started doing music from the year 2014 leading worship and praise at GHAFES meetings.

Derrick, born to Madam Lydia Bortey and Mr Narh Amenyedzi Lawson is currently the praise and worship Leader at the Pentecost International Worship Center, PIWC Kokomlemle.

He started off as a drummer and then a Prayer Secretary for GHAFES Valley View University.

“Music has always been a passion since I was a Child and I happen to follow my Uncle and junior brother to their programs because they were into the music ministry.”, he said.

“My first ever inspiration for Music was Harry Fiscian who motivated me that I was good enough to start music. I’ve been inspired by many people along the way both directly and indirectly; Joe Mettle, Eugene Zuta, Kofi Gyima and many others I can’t mention”, he passionately disclosed to ghMediaHub.com.

Lovers of my music across the country and beyond should expect inspirational music, soul lifting and music that will bless them all.

Derrick is set to release a single which will get you off your seats;

This year the plan is to do solo no; collaborations planned for this year but I’ll consider that in the years to come if i settle well in the industry

God has blessed me with Makarios Studios at Awoshie A-Lang owned by Kofi Gyimah who works hard to put together my good music Ghanaians are yet to enjoy.

“Well, I think that Gospel music in Ghana has been great so far. There are a lot of young upcoming guys working hard and those already in the industry also playing a huge role in making Gospel music in Ghana really great.”, he concluded
