Archbishop Duncan Williams declares 30-days fasting and prayers to fight coronavirus in Ghana

The head pastor of Action Chapel Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams has urged Ghanaians to join him and his congregation to embark on 30-day fasting and prayers to eradicate coronavirus in the country.

He noted that fasting and prayer will direct all the spiritual powers and forces behind the COVID-19 disease to go away from the surface of the earth.

“Within these 30 days you need to keep hearing the word of God, so I will be addressing you to make sure you are fed every day for the next 30 days till we come together again,” he noted.

The revered Archbishop made the revelation during a 34-minute prayer session against the coronavirus on Monday, March 16, 2020.

He held the prayer session with only some top pastors of his church in line with the directive by President Nana Akufo-Addo to suspend all public gatherings.

Archbishop Duncan-Williams also announced in his live broadcast that he supports and welcomes the President’s decision to suspend all public gatherings and activities, including church service. He also admonished all and sundry to keep their faith in God.

Lastly, he advised the public against creating unnecessary fear and panic in the system.

He also urged the public and church members to adhere to all the directions and precautionary measures given by The WHO and government health officials.
