804 persons in mandatory quarantine for the coronavirus released to join their families for testing negative – Nana Addo

A total 804 persons who were a part of 1,030 travelers in mandatory quarantine have been made to joined their families, said the President of the Republic.

He further mentioned that, the remaining 121 are in the process of being released. 

In the live telecast some few minutes ago, he said “I want to thank all of them and their families and loved ones for their understanding and co-operation with the stringent procedures that Government was forced to deploy in the public interest,”

He additionally confirmed that 79 persons out of the total number of 1,030 were initially found to be positive, and appropriate arrangements were made for their isolation and treatment. 

“Subsequently, after 12 further days of quarantine, 26 other persons were found to be positive as a result of their second test, bringing the total number of those found to be positive to 105, all of whom have been isolated for treatment,” he encouragingly said. 

He expressed his profound gratitude to all the 1030 persons for their adherence and compliance with the stringent procedures that Government was forced to deploy in the public interest.

“This one too shall pass”, he concluded.
