Sixteen additional COVID-19 patients have recovered bringing the total recoveries recorded in the country to 99.
The 99 are said to have tested negative for the virus on two consecutive times.
Meanwhile, the recorded caseload has jumped from 641 to 834 as of Saturday, 18 April 2020.
According to the GHS, its enhanced contact-tracing and testing have led to the discovery of the high cases.
The new cases were from the backlog of 12,000 samples of 57,000 which are being cleared by the various test stations.
Nine persons have died.
