GhMediaHubHead Coach of Techiman Eleven Wonders, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, has advised Black Stars midfielder Thomas Teye Partey to extend his time at Atletico Madrid amid the interest expressed in him by Arsenal.
Partey’s future at Atletico this summer has come under huge scrutiny with Arsenal very keen on him, though the Spaniards are also trying to extend his contract in Madrid.
Reports from England claim the Gunners have offered the 27-year-old a tempting contract which will triple his Atletico Madrid salary.
However, Fosu-Osei told YFM Kumasi that it is in the best interest of the Ghana International to remain in the Spanish league.
“He should stay in the Spanish league. He should not go to the English Premier League. For me, the Premier League is a league full of physicality. They use a lot of speed and change of pace”, he stated.
“When we see Partey play, he hardly does what we call change of pace. The same pace he starts with is the same pace he will end with. Nobody should get me wrong.”
Ignatius Fosu-Osei has a strong conviction that Thomas Partey will find it hard to cope with the pace of the English Premier League.
