Ghana’s Champions Hearts of Oak thrashed 6-1 in Morocco

Champions of the Ghana Premier League Hearts of Oak have been thrashed by 6-1 by Moroccan champions Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League.

The defeat ended Hearts of Oak’s campaign in the CAF Champions League after losing 6-2 on aggregate.

The Phobians went into the game on the back of a 1-0 win in Accra against the Moroccans.

The game was however completed before the Phobians started, conceding 3 goals in the opening 20 minutes.

Wydad captain, Yahya Jabrane added the 4th for the Moroccan club 7 minutes before the break.

The Moroccans continued their dominant performance in the second half, getting their 5th through Ayoub El Amloud.

Brilliant performance from Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah denied them a couple more goals.

Simon Msuva, who score the first goal of the game, added his second to complete the 6 goal cycle for the Moroccans.

Hearts of Oak’s super substitutes Frederick Ansah Botchey and Patrick Razak came off the bench to combine for a consolation goal for the Phobians.

Hearts of Oak will now be playing the CAF Confederations Cup, where they await their opponents on Tuesday.
