Reportedly, there has been an accident involving a bus carrying students from Lassia Tuolu Senior High School in the Upper West region, heading towards Techiman, in which two female students from Bole have lost their lives.
The incident occurred this morning near Gidabour community, located in the Savannah region. One of the deceased students was the daughter of Tingawura Abudu Sampson from the Bole Traditional area.
The other passengers have been taken to the Bole hospital for treatment.
While the cause of the accident remains unclear, local residents believe that the poor condition of the Wa-Sawla-Bole highway may have contributed to the accident.
This particular road was awarded a contract by the roads ministry in 2017, but the contractor has left the site due to lack of funds.
