The approval rating of Nana Addo is declining – says Global InfoAnalytics Poll

A recent national poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics in April 2023 indicates a decline in the job approval rating of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The poll reveals that 65 percent of voters disapprove of his performance, up from 59 percent in January, while 29 percent approve of his performance, down from 32 percent.

Among NPP supporters, 58 percent approve of the president’s performance, while 38 percent disapprove. For the National Democratic Congress (NDC), 11 percent approve of the president’s job performance, while 86 percent disapprove.

The poll also shows that 71 percent of voters believe Ghana is headed in the wrong direction.

In the NPP primaries, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is gaining popularity, but not enough to surpass Hon Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten and H.E. Mahamudu Bawumia in the race to lead the NPP in the 2024 elections.

For the NDC race, H.E. John Dramani Mahama is expected to secure his party’s nomination as he leads his closest rivals, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and Hon Kojo Bonsu, by a significant margin.

In the general elections, JDM leads all the NPP frontrunners, including AKK and DMB, while KOA is currently very competitive against JDM.
