GhMediaHubThe Member of Parliament for South Dayi in the Volta Region, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has expressed concerns that the LGBTQ+ community is targeting individuals who are pushing for the anti-homosexuality law in Ghana, and that they are after their lives.
He made these remarks during a scholarship disbursement event in his constituency, where he cautioned parents and stakeholders in the education sector to be vigilant and monitor what children read and watch on television and the internet.
He advised them to prevent the LGBTQ+ community from presenting homosexuality as a societal norm to the younger generation at a tender age.
He also revealed that the community has hidden information in books and cartoons used at pre and basic schools to influence children at the developing stage.
The Anti-LGBTQ+ bill is the next thing to be considered in parliament after it was adopted following a report on the matter.
