GhMediaHubA fire incident has occurred once again at Madina-Ritz Junction in the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipality.
The fire broke out at approximately 11pm on Tuesday, resulting in the destruction of several shops in the area.
ADO2 Alex King Nartey, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), stated that the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
He mentioned that the GNFS has deployed five fire engines from different stations to the scene in order to actively extinguish the flames.
Due to the close proximity of the fire station in Madina, the firefighting team arrived within a minute of receiving the report. Presently, there are five firefighting vehicles on-site, including one from the National headquarters, Abelemkpe, Legon, Adenta, and Madina.
It is noteworthy that this is the second fire incident at Madina-Ritz Junction this year. In January 2023, a blaze destroyed over 30 makeshift containers and houses in the area.
