The arrival of President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, Nigeria, on Tuesday evening drew attention as he was accompanied by a large entourage and an extensive motorcade.
Witnesses reported that the new leader was greeted by more than 100 vehicles upon his return from the UK, where he had been for the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha.
The convoy, consisting of dozens of SUVs, traveled on closed-off roads and was escorted by military personnel. Videos capturing the procession were shared online, further amplifying the spectacle.
President Tinubu arrived in Lagos via his Gulfstream jet, adding to the grandeur of his return.
