Mbappe was omitted from PSG’s first-team training.

Ahead of the start of the Ligue 1 season, PSG’s first team training sessions have been skipped by France captain Kylian Mbappe.

A contract dispute between Mbappe and PSG has arisen due to his expressed desire to go with Real Madrid.

Mbappe is declining to extend his contract by one more year, slated to expire next summer, making him PSG’s all-time leading scorer. Due to this stance, PSG has decided to try to sell the French forward right away to collect a transfer fee rather than take the chance of losing him for nothing.

Mbappe was consequently left out of PSG’s preseason tour of Asia. Additionally, despite receiving a record-breaking offer from Al-Hilal to join the Saudi Pro League, he chose not to speak with their officials.

PSG will host Lorient on Saturday to open their French championship defense. According to reports, Mbappe will practice with the “loft” group rather than the “A” training group, which includes players who might play for the first team.

PSG’s offer of a guaranteed sale clause in Mbappe’s contract after this season was one step toward resolving the conflict. This suggestion was ultimately rejected, though.
