GHMediaHubMona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Real, has admitted to being involved in a scheme to receive unlawfully obtained funds derived from a series of fraudulent romantic relationships.
Today, she pleaded guilty to the charge of conspiring to receive stolen money in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave.
The 31-year-old socialite from Ghana acknowledged her involvement in a single count of conspiracy to receive stolen money, an offense that carries a maximum prison sentence of five years.
Furthermore, Montrage has agreed to forfeit and provide restitution of the same amount, totaling $2,164,758.41.
Hajia4Real made a change to her legal representation in November 2023.
This decision followed her separation from Adam Cortez, who had served as her attorney since the start of her legal proceedings.
Hajia4Real filed the request for a change in attorney with the U.S. court on November 8, 2023, and it was granted on November 9, 2023.
She subsequently engaged the services of Ms. Eleanor Fast from ‘The Fast Law Firm PC’ to handle her case moving forward.
The specific reasons behind her decision to switch lawyers were not disclosed.
