GhMediaHubCanadian rapper Drake faced a staggering loss of $565,000 after betting on Tyson Fury to defeat Oleksandr Usyk in a high-profile boxing match.
Prior to the bout, Drake had publicly disclosed his substantial wager of $565,000 on Fury’s victory via Instagram. However, despite his confidence, Usyk emerged victorious by split decision in Saudi Arabia, claiming the title of undisputed heavyweight boxing champion for the first time in 24 years.
Usyk’s win not only secured Fury’s WBC title but also added to his own collection of belts, which includes the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles.
This loss adds to Drake’s series of high-stakes gambling setbacks, including previous losses following Anthony Joshua’s victory over Francis Ngannou and Dricus Du Plessis’ win against Sean Strickland at UFC 297.
Additionally, Drake has faced losses on bets placed on major events such as the 2022 FIFA World Cup and Israel Adesanya’s defeat to Alex Pereira in November 2022.
