Obofour speaks on issues surrounding the death of Rev. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye

Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church passed away after a long illness, but the founder and head of the Anointed Palace Chapel, Reverend Obofour, has refuted claims that demonic spirits were to blame.

Reverend Obofour addressed the allegations in a talk on his TV station, arguing that no demonic force could have slain Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye.

According to Reverend Obofour, Reverend Kwadwo Boakye passed away from unsatisfactory sex and accumulated stress.

He asserted that numerous pastors are following in the Reverend Kwadwo Boakye’s perilous footsteps by not eating healthy and making time for their spouses.

According to Reverend Obofour, the fundamental cause of the majority of marital problems is the inability of pastors to please their spouses, who frequently enjoy the instrumentalists at their different churches.

Thus, he asked Ghanaian pastors to prioritize their relationships with their spouses and take into account their age when fasting.

There are many theories concerning his death, but they are all just stress. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, a reverend, passed away from accumulated stress. Reverend Kwadwo Boakye could not have been slain by Satan. Pastors have to make time to eat.

“Pastors don’t get to eat or relax, and they don’t have time for their wives. It’s all about the cash. Your ability to fast is influenced by your age. How many times is it said in the Bible that Jesus fasted? I have to show respect for Reverend because he was my senior officer. I was nowhere when he was on television. My senior officer has passed away due to death.”

“Pastors must find time to eat and pleasure their wives sexually. It’s the reason a musician and other people are having relationships with pastors’ wives. Nothing will compensate for a woman’s need for sex, therefore if you don’t provide it, she will end up straying.”

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, the revered man of God died away. After then, his church released a statement confirming the development.

After having a stroke in November 2021, Rev. Boakye became bedridden. He then sought out significant medical attention at private clinics before eventually being referred to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

As word of his passing spread, a large group of churchgoers gathered at his church’s location in Ngleshie Amanfro, next to the Kasoa toll booth.

Recall that in November 2022, Rev. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye informed his congregation that he had died and had been raised from the dead five days later.

“I am a living testimony…I have died and resurrected… Because of my strong faith in Him [Jesus], He resurrected me, when I died. If you have not heard it before, yes, I died. My body was kept in the house for five days. Here I am, alive and kicking,” he said in a video message to his church.

He emphasized that he had returned to life as a result of telling his “father,” Jesus, that he was not prepared to pass away.

“I pleaded with God to send me back to the earth since my time had not yet expired. I was urged to return since my time had not yet run out. You will rise from the dead just like Jesus did when He died if you have trust in Him “Said he.

Early in the year, Rev. Boakye warned several members of the Ghana Armed Forces and Ghana Police Service sternly for refusing to take him to the hospital while he was unwell.

When on his deathbed, he was embroiled in one of the most recent scandals when he publicly feuded with his estranged wife and her family.

The pastor said that he witnessed an intentional attempt by his wife and her brother, Rev. Johnson Kwasi Oware, to make fun of him in public.

“He insulted me three times, and each time I didn’t answer. For the remainder of your life, I will torment you and your children with the same illness that struck me. Akwasi, you must live with my illness the rest of your days.” she said.

“Yaa Asantewaa, take my sickness, you and your children. Have it for the rest of your life. You are seeking to disgrace me,” Rev Boakye said while addressing his church members from a remote location virtually.
