Return money stolen from Ghana and restore the economy – Nyaho-Tamakloe tells politicians.

According to Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ghana will be able to revive its economy if the money that was taken from it and funneled abroad is returned.

He stated, “If the money that has been stolen from this country is brought back, we will get somewhere,” on August 9 addressing the 3Business Ghana Economic Forum Agenda.

He continued, “Money being siphoned out by politicians is the root of the problems we have.”

Ghana is in a serious dilemma, according to Kwame Pianim, a stalwart of the NPP who also addressed at the same gathering.

“Where we are now is difficult, we have never been there before, we need to sit up now and, we are not on the road yet, we haven’t turned the corner,” he remarked.

It is noted that Ken Ofori-Atta, the finance minister, assured Parliament that the administration had overcome its economic difficulties.

On Monday, July 31, he stated during the presentation of the 2023 mid-year budget review that the government had worked hard to prevent empty store shelves for medicines and other necessities and that there had been no food shortages in the nation;

“We have avoided the aggravating prospect of protracted lines for fuel at our filling stations; and, despite all the difficulties, we have managed to keep the lights on,” he stated.

This is what the Psalmist (in Psalm 118:23) claimed was the LORD’s doing, and it is marvelous in our sight.

In addition, he said, “This ‘turning the corner’ is supported by the investments and sacrifices we have made jointly during this challenging period since March 2020.
