Camidoh gets nominated for BET 2023

Ghanaian singer Camidoh has received a nomination for the 2023 BET Awards in the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category.

The nomination was announced on Thursday, June 8. Camidoh, known for his Afropop, R&B, and Afrobeats music, gained recognition for his hit song “Sugarcane,” which won the Best International Collaboration of the Year at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).

In the Viewer’s Choice category, Camidoh will be competing against other talented artists from around the world, including Asake from Nigeria, Raye and Flo from the UK, Labianca from Cameroon, Maureen and Werenoi from France, MC Ryan FC from Brazil, and Pabi Cooper from South Africa.

The 2023 BET Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 25, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, USA. Fans have until Thursday, June 15, to vote for their favorite artist in order to help them secure the award.
