GhMediaHubThe Concerned Youth of Keta have accused the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Emmanuel Gemegah, of abusing his powers in the sale of premix fuel.
They claim that the MCE has conducted the sale and distribution of the commodity in a secretive manner, which is negatively affecting the fisherfolk and their families as well as the entire district.
In a press statement, the youth called on President Akufo-Addo and the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture to investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
They have threatened to organize a large-scale protest if their concerns are not addressed. The statement emphasized the importance of fish and fisheries to the livelihood, culture, and heritage of coastal-fishing communities and their contribution to the socio-economic development of the Keta Municipal Assembly in the Volta Region.
