The Redaach Memorial Hotel in Tamale has been named as the official location for the forthcoming Elective Congress on September 27, 2023, according to the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council.
The Ghana Football Association will elect new Executives to oversee and direct its activities over the next four years at the Congress, which is set to begin at 9 am.
The GFA President and Executive Council Members will be chosen at the Congress from among representatives of the Premier League, Division One League, and Women’s Premier League.
Ten Regional Football Association chairmen have endorsed incumbent President Kurt Okraku, who is seeking a second term.
Former GFA Vice President George Afriyie, who ran against Okraku in the hotly disputed 2019 presidential election, is anticipated to be his main opponent for the presidency.
The outcome of this Congress will select the leadership that will guide Ghanaian football’s development over the following four years.
