Yul Edochie Responds to Critics Regarding Alleged Fake Prophecy on AFCON

Controversial Nollywood actor turned pastor, Yul Edochie, has addressed the critics of his earlier prediction about the outcome of the AFCON 2023 final.

Yul had, prior to the match on Sunday, forecasted that the Nigeria Super Eagles would emerge victorious over Ivory Coast in the final.

In a post on his Instagram page, he confidently stated, “Today’s game will not get a penalty shootout. Nigeria will comfortably defeat Ivory Coast.”

However, the Super Eagles suffered a 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast, leading to disappointment among fans who labeled Yul’s prophecy as false.

Responding to the backlash, Yul shared a post on his page expressing gratitude to the Super Eagles despite the loss. He emphasized that reaching the finals was commendable and that Nigeria should be proud of the team’s performance throughout the tournament.

“Win or lose, good or bad, we’ve been here. I love my country Nigeria. Better days ahead. Giant of Africa,” he concluded in his post.
