‘Weed seller’ beaten to death for not delivering sales to his boss

In Sefwi Ahibenso, a town in the Bodi District of the Western North Region in Ghana, a 30-year-old man named Kwadwo Afful was beaten to death. The incident occurred because Afful, who was known to sell marijuana (weed), allegedly failed to deliver the proceeds from the sales to his boss.

According to reports from Adom News, a group of men associated with Afful’s boss confronted him and subjected him to a severe beating, resulting in his death. Afful’s lifeless body was left on the street in Ahibenso.

Daniel Kwasi Tawiah, Afful’s grandfather, witnessed the crowd on the street and discovered what had happened to his grandchild. He immediately informed the police at Bodi, who subsequently retrieved Afful’s body and took it to the Juaboso Government Hospital morgue for further investigation.

A resident who spoke to AdomNews appealed to the police to apprehend the suspects and ensure justice for Afful’s family. The arrest and subsequent prosecution of the suspects are seen as crucial to addressing the prevailing lawlessness in the area. As of now, the suspects are still at large.
