Police have arrested a 23-year-old man from Kentey, a farming community in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region, for engaging in sexual activity with a female goat.
The suspect, who works as a farmer, has been released on bail and charged with the offense of unnatural carnal knowledge.
The Nkwanta South Divisional Police Command confirmed the incident to Adom News. Local residents reported the case to the police after suspecting that the man was involved in sexual acts with their goat.
According to reports, this is not the first time the suspect has been caught in such behavior, which led his pregnant wife to leave him.
The Nkwanta police have granted the suspect bail, pending further investigation, after he denied the allegations against him.
However, the suspect’s mother, Ndebechie Atta, has defended her son, claiming that the accusations are baseless and false. She admitted that her son had previously been caught engaging in sexual activity with a goat but insisted that the recent allegations were untrue.
The frustrated mother accused the complainant of harboring a personal grudge against her son without providing any evidence.
